When putting your small one to sleep, using a crib will help you and them sleep safely through the night. A crib is a small bed for your child, usually around three years of age to begin, to sleep in. With all the stages in your child's life where your child sleeps is an important one to remember. The crib is usually used when your baby is too big to sleep in a bassinet, or when they are old enough to begin rolling. A crib is also preferred for use with larger babies that a bassinet might not properly support.

The crib is also designed to keep your baby in bed by preventing it from moving outside of its mattress area. The sides of your crib are too high for your baby to climb out and the bars do not offer proper footing, keeping your baby in their crib. Also, the bars on your crib are designed to prevent any limbs from becoming caught within, including hands and the head. Other features available on a crib is an adjustable mattress position and drop side which allows you to place inside and remove you baby with less strain on your back.
